I watched the BBC programme last night on the Beatles in Russia. It was totally brilliant. I hadn't realised the extent to which Beatlemania had undermined the Soviet Empire. The film was made by Leslie Whitehead and produced by Bella Barr.
Maybe there are lessons from this to learn about winning hearts and minds in other countries???!!!
